Over here at Lemur IMS we have not been on Spring Break in decades. But unless things have drastically changed, I cannot remember clamoring in college to head to a rainy town and listen to some amazing speakers! However, we do not believe any of us would classify ourselves as geeks in college, so maybe that was what was going on while we were planning our trips to Miami. We can now confirm the geeks had it right and we hope they accept our late applications.

Thanks to the efforts of Startup DC Chair and Lemur IMS adviser, Evan Burfield, we were able to secure seats in the front row for Startup America’s Celebration of American Startups at Austin’s iconic Austin City Limits Live stage. After being incredibly impressed with the opening act, Green River Ordinance (it was a party after all), we settled in for a round of startup pitches and speakers.
I would like to take this opportunity to plug one startup from last night, AgLocal. If you are environmentally conscience carnivore you must do yourself a favor and check them out. To the AgLocal guys: You rock! Keep disrupting the system and making the world a better place!
